Behind the Why

Adoption was always a dream. Then God wrecked our plans and introduced foster care. Our lives will never be the same. Even though we are just getting started as foster parents since Christmas 2017, our passion has grown very fast! We have quickly realized that all of the doubts and fears we had were over worldly things. Our God is way bigger. My desire for this blog is to 1) bring God’s light to a dark subject that most people say “I can’t” to because of fear and a usually a lack of knowledge; 2) create trust with my readers. I desire to walk through specific questions you have about foster care. 

 

I write these stories to process and document what God has done in our family. I share so you may learn more about God’s provision and be encouraged. You are not alone. Satan wants us to feel alone, but God has created us for community with one another. We belong to one another and these stories are not just for me. The enemy wins if I don’t share. Light dispels darkness when the door is opened.
